A couple of things--
I've had persistent problems with charging things. I've blown up one converter, blew a fuse in the Red Cross Business Center tonight and likely cooked a second converter at the same time, ruined my beard trimmer turning me into an Orthodox Jew (no photos available). The big problem for the converters is my computer. Not sure if I can just plug it more directly into 220 power and I am not going to find out. Luckily Cindy's converter, bought at Good Will has worked fine. And small things like our iphones charge with the one I brought.
All our Ethiopian Airline flights left early. Today for example, we were off the ground at 12:10 for a flight that was scheduled to leave at 1. We were actually back in Addis by 1:10. Our driver was surprised but came right away so no problem. This is one airline where you must reconfirm each flight beforehand and get to the airport 2-3 hours ahead of flight time. The flights themselves were quite uneventful though one tire looked a little worn and soft. Nice attendants as well.
Security at the airport was also very tight. Had to show our passport and ticket to drive in, go through a screen to get inside the airport and then again to get from the waiting room to the boarding area. Cindy lost her knife today and a scissors on the first flight.
ATM machines seem to work fine. We had to walk a bit to find one this morning so we got to see more of Gonder but we've been successful each time and gotten our card back as well.
that's it.
