Spent the day at the VON meeting, after a run at 6am. A blustery one though not rainy. Nice sunrise and I will bring my camera in the morning. Good meeting though it is clear that the NICU staff are a bit demoralized by the current state of affairs. We do some planning to begin to address the future. Hopefully that will work.

Then I met with Phil and Misrak and learned more about our trip, the NICU and the hospital. Things to do to hope to be successful. There are lots of opportunities. I got some Ethiopian Birr also.
Then off to dinner with Tsivia, Eric and Lou and Greek Isles. Two martinis and also best moussaka and saganaki! and a lovely table talk though Tsivia had already had her two martinis. They brought me books to take. I'm not sure how the weight of everything is going to work out. I've done some packing and rearranging so I will carry more and check less, weight that is. I'm hoping Cindy can come out from the gate area and walk back in with her ticket and passport and one bag.
It won't be long and we will be on our way!!
